He has been amazing this summer!
Previously ( always, before this summer) He has worked! He's a very hard worker, he would get up early, go to work, come home around dark, usually later. If he isn't/wasn't working he was fishing, hunting, golfing, or watching fishing, hunting, golfing, and/or sleeping.
But this summer he has turned over a new leaf! I don't know if it is because of the Pregnancy, or if cuz the economy sucks and he hasn't allot of work, or if he just likes us this summer. But we do everything together.
The first 'jaw drop' was a month or so ago, he text me and said he would like to take the kids that coming Saturday, so I could have the day off. Ya, I didn't believe it would happen... so I didn't count on it. But Friday night he had the kids set their alarms for 7 am, he got up, got his outside chores done, told the kids to get ready and they left. He loved it. They loved it. I LOVED it! He took them squirrel hunting (go figure). He came home and said the grass was too tall to shoot squirrels so they shot pop bottles instead.
That following week and every week after, he calls ( any random day of the week) and tells us or the kids to be ready (I stay home when I don't feel so well, I get morning sickness at night) And we go fishing.
We've been camping the last two weekends. He takes us with him to bid jobs. We go grocery shopping together. I know weird huh.
Personally I don't think it will always be like this. But it's good for now, and me, him and the kids are loving being together. Maybe it's cuz their older now to enjoy the things he enjoys, maybe he's going through a mid-life crises ( I wont add to that) Maybe it's cuz I've had a horrible couple of months (I'm not complaining, I love being prego) and he realizes it and wants to help? Maybe he's just realizing he likes us! Whatever it is I like it. I like him. I'm just glad it's happening!
Now don't get me wrong, we have always done stuff as a Family. He just wasn't usually the one to plan it.
And to add to all of that, he is taking care of the garden. Everything! (I have helped weed once for family night.)
