<------- Push to play! I confess.....Hosted By Glamazon....Don't forget to link up and play....you'll feel better in the morning!
You may recall my little girl, ya know the one that's "BIG ENOUGH NOW"!
- Her favorite food is Ramen Noodles
- Mostly cuz she can make them herself
- She asks to eat them for breakfast, 10 o'clock snack, lunch, 3 o'clock snack and dinner
- So today she gets them
- and she makes them herself, (if she'll clean the mess up)
- So I'm in my room folding laundry and listening to my Book on CD (one of my favorite things to do)
- And the kids ask to go play in the water outside. Of course I say yes cuz this is the first day it hasn't rained and is above -20 degrees, (or so it feels)
- I walk into the kitchen to get a drink and this is what I find......
- -k- so I know what you're thinking "that's not so bad" right??
- Right!
- I think to myself.....'should I call her in to come and clean it up"
- No...I like the way their playing nice together today, I'll wait and ask her to do it when she comes in....So that's what I do.
- She puts her bowl in the sink.
- And goes to the computer.
- WTH??? Clean up your freakin' mess girly.
- So I lose it. I yell and say all the wrong things....... over a little tiny mess.
- My precious little girl is in tears, her heart is broken and all I can say is.....
- "Just do it right the first time, and then I wont get frustrated, I don't want to be a yellin' Mom all the time"
- Like it's her fault I'm a yellin' mom.....
- And the worst part is, I didn't say sorry this time, I just walked away!
- I'm definitely going to HELL!

Oh man I so feel ya on this one. :) It's heartbreaking. Why are we so stupid sometimes? All we can do is try to be better and love our kids with all our heart. :) Being a mom is the toughest job and certainly tries our patience to the max.! {HUGS}
ReplyDeleteThis could almost be a WIMTSW. I think you couldve come up with something more exciting for you confession ;) but I'm glad you posted something..i was missing ya!
ReplyDeleteive been the yelling mom today too.. i feel awful! :( oh well were allowed slip ups to right
ReplyDeleteSo been there. I feel awful too. But man, if they're old enough to make them something to eat, they're old enough to clean it up. My kids don't seem to get that yet. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteAw, sweetie, we've all been there. I'm sorry! Give yourself a little break, the best thing about kids is that they have short memories and are forgiving. We mamas have a million things on our plates, and sometimes we snap. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are not going to hell. We are HUMAN we fall short and screw up.. admitting we were wrong is the first step. It is hard to tell our kids, who think we know it all, that sometimes we don't. But you need to admit you were wrong in blaming her for your yelling. Let her know that YOur yelling is a choice just like her failure to clean up her mess was her choice..
